Jolene has spent her last 10 years in the field of psychology and working with children. She earned her undergraduate degree of Psychology at University of Adelaide, Australia. In addition to an MSc degree in Psychology at University of East London, she furthers another MSc degree at University College London (UCL) in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Moreover, she has obtained certificates in Cognitive Based Hypnotherapy (CBH) and Mindfulness to help improve children’s quality of life.
Jolene has had experience dealing with children with different learning difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Dyslexia.
Seeking for alternative treatment for children with learning difficulties, she has also trained and qualified herself in Neurofeedback Therapy that widen the supports she could offer to children with different learning deficiencies such as inattentiveness, temper tantrums, sleeping problems, anxiety, obsessive behavior, and oppositional behavior. Occasionally, she participates in seminars and talks on how Neurofeedback helps improve children's performance.
About Hui Xin
Hui Xin received her Bachelors with Honors in Psychology studies from Help University College. She also has a Masters in Applied Social Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London. This year marks her 7 years’ experience in the field of psychology
Hui Xin is most fulfilled when helping children to develop an interest in learning. She always believe that fun learning promotes motivation for children to learn better and effectively.
After working with children with special needs individually through interventions, she decided to bring her career to another level which is to work with special needs children in a group setting. She is now one of the head teachers in a special needs school who handles autism children whose ages ranged between 5 and 16.
Over the years, she has actively attending workshops, conferences related to special needs and learning difficulties. On top of that, she has been attending reading program regularly. She is currently preparing herself to become a certified assessor and practitioner in Dyslexia and Literacy.
